Transparencia de Fundació CODESPA Catalunya

Nomo restaurants collaborate with the CODESPA Foundation to fight poverty.

The work of Fundació CODESPA would not be possible without the collaboration of foundations and companies, public and private institutions. Establishing partnerships with them has a multiplying effect that allows us to help more people escape the poverty they find themselves in. And Grupo Nomo is one of the companies, supportive and socially committed, that aims to contribute to achieving a more just and sustainable society.

Nomo restaurants are born from a fresh and innovative concept, different from what existed until now and which has made them a benchmark in the world of Japanese gastronomy. Their motto is to offer the best of Japanese culture, while using the finest products from our land. And, together, we are going to launch an initiative that will be exquisite… in every sense.

Spicy Tuna, a very tasty and charitable dish

All the dishes served at Nomo restaurants are a delicacy of Japanese cuisine. And one, in particular, will also have a charitable purpose: the Spicy Tuna Roll. Because, from June 10 to September 9, 2024, for every dish of this specialty ordered at Nomo restaurants, €0.50 will go to the CODESPA Foundation.

To this end, we will collaborate with the group’s restaurants in various cities: Nomo Gràcia, Nomo Galvany, and Nomo Sarrià in Barcelona; Nomo Braganza and Nomo Market Goya in Madrid; Nomo Nàutic in Sant Feliu de Guíxols; Far Nomo in Palafrugell; Nomo Mar in Llafranc; and Nomo Girona.

The funds raised from this charitable initiative will go to support the project “Improving soil fertility and crop productivity through organic agricultural inputs in the Philippines”. This initiative encourages small farmers on the island of Mindanao to use biochar on their plots, an organic compound obtained from rice husks that are often discarded. This not only reduces the cost and use of chemical fertilizers, but also increases crop productivity and helps regenerate the soil. The result is an improvement in the economic conditions of both the producers and distributors of biofertilizers, as well as the small farmers who use them on their crops.

Will you join this solidarity action?

Thanks to the generosity and solidarity of companies like Grupo Nomo, CODESPA has already helped more than 5 million people escape poverty. And, if you’d like, you can contribute too. We encourage you to visit any of the Nomo restaurants. If you enjoy Japanese food, you’ll find them all wonderful, in a pleasant atmosphere and with exceptional service. And if, between June 10th and September 9th, you order the Spicy Tuna charity dish, you’ll be doing your part to give people in situations of poverty a chance to break out of the cycle of poverty they find themselves in.
