Barcelona is a city with a vibrant cultural and artistic character, as well as a deep sense of community. At the CODESPA Foundation, we want to unite the two and have organized a charity art exhibition featuring renowned artists, or those linked to Barcelona. All of them have volunteered to help us achieve our mission of providing opportunities for people in situations of vulnerability and social exclusion.

In this collective charity art exhibition, we will feature more than 30 contemporary artists, including leading painters, sculptors, and photographers. All of them have donated some of their works, which will be on sale during the three-day exhibition. Among those who have already confirmed their participation are: Adalina Corominas, Alejandro Miras, Alfonso Alzamora, Alicia Marsans, Anna Miquel, Antoni Camarasa, Carmen Galofré, Emma Clarós, Erik Nitsch ter Horst, Gino Rubert, David Ymbernon, Javier Mariscal, Jordi Bernadó, Jordi Esteva, José Luís Aguiló, José Mª de Orbe, Josep Mª Riera i Aragó, Koke Pursals, Mariona Espinet, Max de Esteban, Nacho Amor, Naxo Farreras, Pere de Ribot, Perico Pastor, Philip Stanton, Regina Giménez, Regina Saura, Sabine Finkenauer, Víctor Pérez-Porro, Wilfried Prager, Xavier Bartumeus and Yamandú Canosa. In addition, we will have the special collaboration of Johnny Depp, who has given us one of his works.

The opening will take place on Tuesday, October 29th at 7:00 PM at the LAB36 gallery, located at 36 Trafalgar Street, Barcelona. The gallery will also be open to the public on Wednesday, October 30th, from 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM. During these two days, visitors will have the unique opportunity to purchase some of these works.

The funds raised through the sale of the exhibited works will be used to support the Financial Education and Entrepreneurship Development for People with Disabilities project. The project aims to enable people with disabilities in rural communities in the department of Chiquimula, Guatemala, to generate stable incomes through entrepreneurship and access to credit, enabling them to become self-sufficient.

We would like to thank all the artists who have donated one of their creations to be sold at the exhibition for their generosity; we also want to thank Carlos Durán and Chus Roig for providing us with the space at LAB36, as well as their support in organizing the exhibition. The LAB36 gallery is a dynamic exhibition space for art and for creating meeting points between the various disciplines present in Barcelona’s cultural production. It reflects current events and aims to give visibility to creation and creativity.
