    The Urban Commune of Tetouan<\/strong> is governed by the “Communal Charter,” which emphasizes the inclusion of citizens, through civil society actors (local associations), as a key element for good city governance.<\/p>

    The Charter contemplates the management of local facilities and infrastructure<\/strong>, such as social and cultural centers, which are key to the integration of the city’s most disadvantaged groups<\/strong>.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    What is the project about<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    The project presented is the third phase of a joint initiative between the CODESPA Catalunya Foundation and its local partner, the ATIL Association.<\/span><\/p>

    This initiative, supported and subsidized by Barcelona City Council during the 2013-2016 period, aims to provide the Municipality of Tetouan with a participatory management model for local facilities,<\/strong> with the direct and coordinated involvement of public and civil society stakeholders, and to train and support its technical team during the process of appropriation, implementation, replication, and generalization of the designed model.<\/span><\/p>

    In this third and final phase, the project will be based on three main actions:
    <\/span><\/p>

    1. The implementation<\/strong> of the participatory management model in 3 local facilities, as a pilot<\/strong>;<\/li>
    2. Replicate and generalize the model<\/strong> in at least 80% of the local facilities in the Tetu\u00e1n Commune;<\/li>
    3. Train and support the technical team of the Tetu\u00e1n Municipality<\/strong> to implement a monitoring and evaluation system for the participatory management model.<\/li><\/ol>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
